I am a Consultant general, colorectal and pelvic floor surgeon 2002 – present.  Over 75% of my work is pelvic floor surgery and proctology. I was co-founder of The Pelvic Floor Society, an affiliate of The Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland.  I was Honorary Secretary of The Pelvic Floor Society 2012 –2020 (second term) and was Chair for Accreditation, Quality and Assurance until 2022. I taught proctology and pelvic floor surgery across Europe with live operating and lab masterclasses until 2020 (pre Covid).  I established complex abdominal wall repair multidisciplinary working at my Trust along with Mr Paul O’Loughlin for complex hernias and this work fulfilled the remainder of my NHS contract. I am an accomplished endoscopist and Clinical Director for endoscopy at TSS.  I am also Medical Director at TSS.
