Mr Chandrappa obtained his FRCS in 2014.He undertook Fellowships in Spinal Surgery at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh, Great Ormond street Hospital and University Hospital for Wales, Cardiff. He was appointed as Consultant Spine surgeon in Trauma and Orthopaedics at RVI, Newcastle from May 2020. He has published published in international journals .

Mr Chandrappa specialises in treating patients with neck and back problems in adults with special interest in adult scoliosis..

Away from work, he loves cooking and reading .
