I am a retired Vascular Surgeon, having served in the NHS as a consultant from 1996 until I retired in April 2018. Throughout my years in practice, I dedicated myself not only to clinical excellence but also to the mentorship of future generations of surgeons.  During my career I have supervised 5 MD degrees, and many of my trainees are now consultants all over the UK particularly in the Northeast.

In addition, I also had the position of lead in respect of various medical research projects which have won the European, United Kingdom and American prizes.

I have always held a keen interest in the ongoing development and innovation within the healthcare system, striving to find ways to improve service delivery and patient care.  This commitment to progress and collaboration ultimately fostered my involvement in a few pioneering initiatives alongside esteemed colleagues.

In 2007, I incorporated Tyneside Surgical Services (“TSS”) with two consultant colleagues. The aim of the company was to help the NHS achieve its goals: the company is designed to see and treat NHS patients.
